Removing architectural barriers, such as kerbs and other obstacles, but maintaining vehicular access does have its consequences and for the second time, a car has ended up amongst customers on the terrace of a bar in Plaza de la Constitucion in Torrox Pueblo.
On Sunday, two elderly people ended up at the Health Centre after a car struck the table where they were sitting. Fortunately, the two women just had a few scratches as a result of the incident.
The driver of the vehicle, a 63 year od local resident, apparently lost control of the vehicle while trying to stop a can of paint from spilling in his vehicle. As a matter of routine he was tested for alcohol after the incidents but the results were negative and all his paperwork was in order.
The driver had only just started moving after stopping to get the paint and, fortunately, was not driving very fast.
