First match of Euro 2012 for Spain and Iker Casillas pulled off a series of fine saves to keep the scores level until the 60th minute when Antonio di Natale deservedly put the Italians ahead.
Spain enjoyed most of the possession in quite a frenetic match but couldn’t convert it into chances or goals. Casillas played a blinder as he kept the ball out of the net on numerous occasions and it was Cesc Fabregas who salvaged a draw for the defending champions.
Spain could, in fact, have sneaked a win had Torres not wasted several good chances late in the match.
