Committees have their place and uses, but they can be expensive items when you take into account such things as ‘attendance allowances’ etc. The PSOE in Rincón de la Victoria has proposed setting up a technical committee to address the appearance of the orange slicks (spawning anchovy and sardines, a natural phenomenon) and to inform the public. It shouldn’t take a committee to keep the public adequately informed about a natural phenomenon! No wonder there’s no time or money for real projects.
