Spain are top of their Euro 2012 group after beating the Republic of Ireland 4-0, Torres managing to find the net twice.
Torres opened the scoring after just four minutes but, despite their dominance, it wasn’t until the start of the second half that Silva slotted home the second. Torres then grabbed his second of the night and Fabregas completed the rout.
Spain face Croatia in the final group match, both teams currently on four points. Italy were earlier held to a 1-1 draw by Croatia and, despite being quite impressive in both matches so far, have just two points and deperately need a good result in their final match against the Republic.
