Seven people were injured on Friday during clashes between picketing miners and police in Asturias.
The protests took place near Pozo del Sotón in San Martín del Rey Aurelio, pickets blocking several roads in the area. Police intervened to guarantee the right of citizens to travel on public roads.
Four of the injured were policemen, one of whom suffered an eye injury, and three were journalists who got got caught up in the disturbances as they carried out their reporting duties. One of the journalists needed hospital treatment after suffering a blow to the chest.
