According to a recent survey, 44% of Andalucians have changed their driving habits as a result of the financial crisis. Last year the figure was 33% who claimed to have changed their driving habits.
- 59.5% claim to have reduced the number of trips made by car to reduce costs.
- 44.3% say they travel at lower speeds to save on fuel costs
- 32.2% say they have sought out cheaper insurance
- 21.3% avoid toll roads
- 12.3% now use public transport
The survey was carried out on a national sample of 8,300 motorists.
