Iberia has finally decided not to retroactively charge customers for the increased airport taxes which came into effect on July 1st, unlike many airlines who are passing on the cost to people who bought tickets before that date.
The company took the decision despite its financial problems, preferring to absorb the extra costs rather than inconvenience their customers.
This decision will only affect flights operated by Iberia itself and not to those who, although having been booked with Iberia code, are operated by other airlines.
