The Selwo Marina aquarium and dolphinarium is located in Benalmádena on the Costa del Sol, Spain, and houses a variety of birds and animals including dolphins, sea lions, flamingoes, pelicans, penguins, parrots, tortoises, turtles, frogs, snakes and many more.
So, how do you get there?
Take the C2 Local Train to Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmádena) and then get on the M-121 bus outside the station. The journey only takes a few minutes on the bus.
By car, you can use either the Motorway A7, exit 222 Benalmadena – Arroyo de la Miel or the old N-340 coast road which turns into avenids Antonio Machado.
There is plenty of flora and fauna to see, albeit in captivity, and the park is quite well laid out, making it fairly easy to locate all the different exhibits. There are several food and drink stations dotted throughout the park.
Shows
There are a number of regular events or shows, such as a dolphin and sea lion show, feeding of the penguins and a bird show. It is also possible to participate in the penguin feeding and interact with the dolphins, for an extra charge of course. You will find details on their website: Selwo Marina
