Six homes, a total of 46 residents, in Cádiz had to be evacuated yesterday morning after the wall of a building under construction collapsed.
The collapse caused a cloud of dust and the neighbouring homes were evacuated as a safety measure and traffic to the area was cut. No-one was injured in the incident. Some of the evacuees spent the night with relatives while others slept at the local clinic.
Technicians are now analysing the best way to demolish the building which is in poor condition.
