Vélez-Málaga Council has approved a dossier relating to the termination of the contract granted to Floresur for the conservation, maintenance and improvement of green areas within the municipality due to a number of breaches.
The contract, for a four year period, was signed in August 2010 with the company Floresur. According to the Council, Floresur only provided 22 operatives, whereas 36 were specified in the bid, and have also failed to live up to the contract as regards equipment, materials and facilities. This, according to tyhe Council, has led to a number of complaints. The four year contract was worth €4,680,000. Probably irrelevant as Councils seem not to pay anyway.
Floresur has been given ten days to respond before the matter is put before the advisory board of the Junta de Andalucia.
