Valencia was the first autonomous region to formally request a bailout from the Central Government, Murcia is likely to follow suit and now Cataluña appears to be on the verge of asking for financial aid from the government.
According to politicians in Cataluña, with the markets the way they are, the Central Government is the only bank they have.
For several days now, politicians in Andalucia have been fervently denying the region is in need of a rescue, so perhaps they will be the next to make an application.
It seems to be a case of the debt-ridden asking for help from the broke and, as is always the case, it is the ordinary citizens who will have to foot the bill at some stage of proceedings.
