The Council is now regulating the traffic near the old cement factory and former quarry, the access point to the area known as Los Cahorros, with no parking signs and a barrier erected by the big eucalyptus tree just after the start of the carril de Los Almachares.
A free parking area for those heading to the area has been set up in calle Mirto.
The area around the quarry becomes quite crowded with vehicles, particularly in the summer, with all the visitors to Los Cahorros. The Council believes that this causes problems in the area, especially in relation to the Carril de los Almachares and that the area is unsuitable for parking due to being in a public water area.
