The Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 1 in Torrox has ordered the imprisonment without bail of 20 year old F. J. C. P., the youth accused of robbing the Unicaja bank in calle Antonio Ferrandis ‘Chanquete’ on Thursday.
F. J. C. P., who has no prior criminal record, ran the car wash service in calle Jaén, Nerja, and used a car belonging to one of the clients in the attack on the bank.
The detainee is also charged with involvement in the armed robbery of the Repsol petrol station in Nerja, two armed robberies in Torrox, one at a petrol station and one at a kiosk and an armed robbery at a petrol station in La Herradura.
The total amount taken during the five robberies is estimated to be in the region of €1,200.
F. J. C. P. confessed to his part in the robberies, claiming that it was because ‘he needed money’.
