A firemen belonging to the Huelva Provincial Fire Brigade is in hospital after falling from his fire engine while attending a fire in Isla Cristina.
the fireman was taken to the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Sevilla where he is described as stable although in a serious condition.
The incident occurred on Saturday while the crew were attending a fire. It appears that when the fire engine was moved, the hose became caught on a tree and then hit the legs of the fireman who fell to the ground, unfortunately hitting his head on a rock.
The injured firemen, actually the driver of the engine, was not wearing a helmet and was not fully uniformed when the accident occurred and this situation is being investigated.
