The Council is continuing its crackdown on the illegal occupation of public thoroughfares by catering establishments, either due to the use of excessive space or non-payment of the relevant municipal fees.
Today, 23 tables and 72 chairs were removed from one establishment, the offending furniture being taken away to storage facilities in the town.
To get their furniture back, the owners must pay any fines and settle any outstanding debts with the Council.
More such actions are expected in the coming days.
