Now there’s something unusual. Radio Torcal in Antequera is the only radio station in Spain to offer such a service and only the third in Europe, the other two being in Germany and Finland.
Radio Torcal offers a thirty minute news broadcast in LATIN every Friday morning and it can also be heard via the internet.
Not so easy when you consider that many, if not most of today’s news relates to things unknown in the classical world, such as IVA, supermarkets, computers, cars and any number of other concepts and items.
Most of the news items are translated by Cristóbal Macías, director of the Department of Latin Philology at the University of Malaga
Hic est bonus nuntius = this is good news
