A seven year old boy who fell down a hillside while out hiking with his father in the Barranco Blanco in Coín last week has died from his injuries.
The accident occurred on August 16th as the pair were hiking in the Barranco Blanco area of Coín. The boy fell down a ravine, despite efforts by his father to prevent this from happening, who also suffered injuries in the incident.
The father managed to take his son in a private car to the Red Cross centre in Cártama but they were unable to help. The boy was taken to the Hospital Clínico Universitario in Málaga capital and the subsequently transferred to the Hospital Materno Infantil.
The boy suffered severe head injuries and brain damage in the accident and was in a coma in the ICU since his admission.
