Foresnsic anthropologists from the Universidad Complutense (UCM) have determined that the bone fragments found at Las Quemadillas are unequivocally human and belong to two children, prbable ages around six years and two years.

The judge ordered the latest tests to try and clarify, once and for all, whether the remains were ‘animal’, as thought by early police analysis, or ´human’, as suggested by independent alanlysis commissioned by the mother of the missing children.
The bone fragments are very deteriorated and are unlikely to produce any kind of DNA.
