Two armed men robbed the Maxi Día supermarket on the Camino de los Almendrales in Málaga on Saturday night just as the shop was closing.
The two men, wearing crash helmets and armed with a large knife and a pistol, entered the shop just as the shutters were being closed at 22:00. They threatened staff and demanded the takings.
The thieves were in and out in a few minutes, making off with between €3,000 and €3,500.
This is the second supermarket robbery within the past three weeks, both being very similar in character. The previous robbery was in La Malagueta.
Police are searching for clues as to the identities of the robbers.
