The regional delegate of the Junta de Andalucia in Málaga province, José Luis Ruiz Espejo, has promised to sit down with the Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, to discuss the golf course issue and try to find solutions to the problem.
At the same time, however, it has been made clear that a) regional decisions on urban planning etc, such as the POTAX, take precedence over municipal plans, such as the PGOU, however valid and legal those local items may be, and b): the Junta de Andalucia has no plans to start messing around with urban planning regulations enacted during the past few years due to possible legal issues and complications and the possibility of conflict with environmental and other groups.
On that basis, it looks like it will just be a chat with little prospect of any progress.
