The IU in Rincón de la Victoria believes it is necessary to set up a commission to evaluate and monitor the economic crisis and its effect on the town and has proposed a motion for approval.
The Councillor for Finance, Antonio Fernández (PP), however believes that the proposal lacks content and that the various areas of the Council, such as Social Services, maintain adequate data relating to people struggling to pay mortgages, unemployment, families in need etc to allow the Council to implement the necessary measures to assist the residents of the municipality.
Too many expensive commissions and committees, not enough action. Doubt they will ever have to set up a commission to evaluate the effect of the crisis on politicians.
