The never-ending battle against international drugs trafficking continues with the arrest of fourteen people in the town of Sabadell, Barcelona.
The network had its headquarters in Sabadell and laundered its ill-gotten gains through various investments in the Dominican Republic. Twelve of the detainees are Dominican Republic nationals, one is Spanish and one is Moroccan.
During a raid on the headquarters of the network, police seized 1.3 kilos of cocaine, 3.1 kilos of substances used to ‘cut’ the drug, four vehicles adapted for the transportation of drugs and a 9mm pistol with an abundance of ammunition.
The fourteen detainees have been charged with alleged crimes against public health, membership of a criminal organization, conspiracy, illegal possession of weapons and money laundering.
