Álora Council has approved a new municipal ordinance relating to street trading, both as regards fixed markets and trading on the public roads. The measure, in line with European standards, opens the door to the expansion of the weekly Monday market held in calle Carmona.
The new ordinance was approved by all the political parties and establishes criteria relating to the issuing of licences, These include prioritisation for products from the Guadalhorce district and requirements that traders have a certificate of quality for the produce on sale and that they have participated in specialist courses or seminars.
In addition, an arbitration system will be put in place to resolve any disputes.
