Police have arrested three men aged between 26 and 30 years in the Las Norias de Daza district of El Ejido, Almeria, for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and then trying to run her over.
The incident happened in the rural area of La Molina. Witnesses state that four men tried to force a woman into a car and then when she escaped and fled, they ran her over. The woman required hospital treatment.
Police traced the vehicle used in the assault to a farmhouse and two of the suspects were found hiding nearby. A third suspect, who had suffered injuries, was apprehended shortly after.
The case remains open and further arrests are not ruled out.
