Workers at Rober, the transport concessionaire in Granada, have been carrying out strike action this morning from 06:00 to 09:00 in protest at possible job losses and a reduction in purchasing power. Minimum service levels were in operation.
The employees had proposed a wage freeze and changes to the working day during negotiations for a new collective agreement but Rober are unable to guarantee that there will be no layoffs.
The workers are planning a demonstration in the city on Friday and, if no agreement is reached with Rober, another partial strike will take place next Wednesday morning.
