On Tuesday, Guardia Civil officers in Sigüenza, Segovia, arrested the driver of a school minibus on suspicion of a crime against road safety. He was five times over the permitted alcohol level.
The driver, identified as 43 year old L.Y.C., was stopped at km 17,500 of the CM-110 while carrying nine school children in his vehicle. Police noticed that the driver was showing obvious signs of alcohol consumption and performed a breath test. The results were 0.77mg and 0.80mg.
The permitted level for such drivers is 0.15mg of ethanol per litre of exhaled air.
