Sebastian Vettel claimed a third consecutive Formula One world title, despite only finishing sixth in an incident packed, rain-affected Brazilian Grand Prix. The race was won by Jenson Button with Fernando Alonso second and Felipe Massa in third. Button also won the very first race of the season in Melbourne.
