Workers at Rober, the transport concessionaire in Granada, are once again carrying out a partial strike and holding demonstrations. Negotiations over a new collective agreement have foundered upon the union demand for a guarantee that there will be no redundancies whatsoever in the entire workforce for the duration of the agreement.
The concessionaire and the Council have so far failed to agree this demand. This morning, Wednesday, the bus service in Granada is once again operating a minimum service level of 30%.
The unions are planning further action if their demands are not met, including an indefinite strike in January 2013.
