The National Police and Guardia Civil have arrested six people, two of them minors, as suspected members of a gang carrying out robberies, often with violence, in Fuengirola and Mijas.
The investigation began in March after a robbery at a pharmacy and the gang have now been linked to six robberies in Mijas – 4 pharmacies, 1 tobacconist, 1 supermarket – and five in Fuengirola – 2 supermarkets, 1 aquarium, 1 bakery, 1 jewellers.
The gang often wore masks and used axes as a means of intimidation. During raids on a number of houses, a marijuana plantation was also discovered and seized.
