The autonomous region of Castlla-La Mancha is study the conditions attached but looks likely to apply for a bailout from the Autonomous Liquidity Fund (FLA) in 2013. The Finance Ministry has already announced that the FLA for the next fiscal year, €23,000 million euros plus, will have similar features to that of 2012, but with the main purpose of helping communities to settle outstanding debts with suppliers.
The regions have until December 17th to inform the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration that they wish to take advantage of the FLA and submit their funding requirements.
Andalucia is also likely to apply for another bailout in 2013.
Given that municipal, provincial and regional authorities tend not to pay suppliers, for as long as twenty years in some cases, it is amazing that any company even considers doing business with such entities.
