A Chinese national in Rociana del Condado, Huelva, has been sanctioned after 22,695 category II and III fireworks were found in his bazaar.
Police conducting a routine inspection spotted a small number of fireworks displayed for sale on the counter of the shop and, suspecting there could be more, conducted a further search of the premises.
Hidden in beach cooler boxes in the shop storage area they found a total of 22,695 similar fireworks. The shop owner did not have authorisation to sell such items and was duly reported. The fireworks were confiscated.
