As the funeral of the murdered 16 month old baby takes place today in the San Juan Bautista church in La Palma del Condado, Huelva, a preliminary autopsy has revealed that death was caused by one or more blows to the head. Time of death, however, has yet to be established.
Jonathan Moya González, aged 25, confessed to kidnapping the baby and killing her and informed the police where the body could be found. The alleged killer has a criminal record for a number of offences, at least twelve, including fraud, car theft and impersonating a police officer.
He was briefly imprisoned in June 2012 for breach of his bail conditions after failing to report in, but was released again shortly after.
A second man, 25 year old Raúl R.F from Fiñana, a friend of the alleged killer, has also been arrested in connection with the case.
