So, a Belgian woman set off on a 38 mile journey to pick up a friend from Brussels railway station and ended up on a two-day journey which took her through six countries before arriving in Zagreb, Croatia. Despite crossing five borders and seeing multiple-language traffic signs, Sabine Moreau did not stop to question her sat-nav until two days later when she realised that she may not be in Belgium any more.
Asked if she did not find the length of the journey and language changes strange, Ms Moreau replied:
Maybe, but I was just preoccupied.
There must be more to the story than the woman is admitting, or is being published, as it seems hardly conceivable, however ‘distracted’ one might be, that anyone could be so daft. Six countries, passport required for Croatia, sleeping overnight in the car…come on.
