Thursday was the first working meeting of members of the Council, the Ministry of Environment and the contractor selected to construct the sewage plant. Regular meetings were a commitment made by the Ministry of Environment.
This first meeting, attended by the Mayor, José Alberto Armijo, representative of the Ministry, José Ramón Barro, the representative of the contractor, Bernardo Pérez, the Councillor Antonio Garcia and technician Antonio Dorado.
During the meeting it was agreed to work towards producing a ‘road map’ allowing schedules to be achieved based upon what has already been done. On more immediate matters, discussion also took place relating to the important date of March 12th 2013 when the final construction project is due. It is after this date that the real work, namely actual construction, could start.
Another meeting is schedule in a fortnight’s time.
