The decision to withdraw municipal licences from street traders in Fuengirola who are behind with their monthly payments to the Council is causing much debate. The opposition IU is requesting the negotiation of a payment plan for those affected – about 20 traders at the moment – but the government says this would be serious discrimination and points out that the procedure now being adopted is based upon the application of law in Andalucia.
