Negotiations between Mijas Council and the unions (CCOO, UGT, CGT and UPLB) has resulted in the signing of a new collective agreement. The document is valid for three years and involves neither wage cuts nor redundancies.
The agreement includes a number of changes relating to social benefits, holidays and healthcare beneficiaries. The social and health benefits are now only available to the immediate family members, aged under 18 years, of the employees.
Another change is that employees can now take 15 of their 22 vacation days at one time, preferably between June 15th and September 15th, and the remainder at any time throughout the year.
Police and Fire Brigade officers will now benefit from festive supplements to bring them into line with similar professionals in other municipalities.
