Pedro and Piqué twice gave Barcelona the lead, but Joaquín and Santa Cruz levelled matters on both occasions and it wasn’t until quite late in the game that goals from Iniesta and Messi settled matters in favour of the Catalans.
A 90th minute penalty by Jorge Molina earned Real Betis a draw on the night in their match against Atlético Madrid, cancelling out Diego Costa’s earlier strike, but their 2-0 advantage from the first leg was enough to see them through. They will play Sevilla in the semi-final.
