Retail sales in Andalucia fell by 7.8% during 2012 and employment in the retail sector was down by 1.5%, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).
All autonomous regions experienced a decline in retail sales in December 2012, the worst affected being Castilla y León with -12,3 % and Cantabria with -12,1 %. The figure for Andalucia was -8.7%.
For the whole year, the worst declines were in Castilla-La Mancha (-9.5%), Murcia (-9.3%), Cantabria (-7.9%), Andalucía (-7.8%) and Castilla y León (-7.1%)
