This week sees a new round of protests in the schools in Andalucia with strikes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Secondary pupils at 1,150 schools have been called to strike, along with teachers, in protest at the education reforms being carried out by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, José Ignacio Wert.
The Confederation of Parents, CEAPA, is supporting protests against the changes to the system but is not supporting the strike action.
Meanwhile, it is estimated that the direct cost of implementing the changes under the draft Organic Law for the Improvement of Educational Quality (LOMCE) will now be €480 million during the first three years, five times the original figure.
