Casarabonela Council has signed an agreement with Puimsa for the construction of a golf course and, more importantly for the municipal coffers, 500 houses and an hotel of at least four stars.
The mayor of Casarabonela, Francisco Gómez Armada (AGIC), says that the project conforms to Decree 43/2008 of February 12th of the Junta de Andalucia in relation to the construction of golf courses in the region.
The complex will be built on a three million square metre area near the border with neighbouring Pizarra. If a favourable report is received from the Ministry of Tourism, the mayor believes that work on the project could begin this year.
The project apparently already conforms to the LOUA (Urban Planning Law of Andalucia).
