Police in Benalmadena have arrested a 38 year old man who allegedly shot his partner on Saturday and left her lying in the street in the Puente de Vallecas district of Madrid.
José Luis C.M., the allegedly shot his partner five times and left her slumped between two parked cars in calle Cocherón de la Villa and then picked up his six year old son and fled the scene.
The vehicle was located in Benalmadena, Málaga province, where José Luis C.M. and his son had taken refuge with a friend. The friend has also been arrested for harbouring a fugitive.
The victim, Noal M.F.G., is in a serious condition in the Hospital Gregorio Marañón. The young child is in temporary care until arrangements are made with maternal relatives.
José Luis C.M. was the subject of a restraining order.
