The Council has signed a €21,175 contract with the company Auren to prepare a draft Tourism Marketing Plan, with the goal of producing a marketable tourist ‘product’.
The municipality apparently has many resources, according to Councillor Rocío Ruiz, but no actual product to market.
The Plan includes a first step of assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the municipality in order to subsequently establish which tourism products to offer.
Director of Auren, Juan Antonio Lopez, stated that the roadmap is to first make a diagnosis, establish products that can be offered to visitors and finally create, in collaboration with employers, an array of the products that can be marketed.
