The National Police have arrested 36 people belonging to an organisation exploiting around 400 women for prostitution in Andalucia.
The arrests were made in Sevilla, Cádiz, Córdoba and Huelva provinces. The court issued an embargo order on 57 properties, 56 vehicles, a boat and other assets valued at €15 million.
Each of the provincial prostitution centres earned around €1,250,00 per annum and customers were able to pay at special ATM’s and via telephone, the organisation earning a commission on these activities.
The women were subjected to strict rules which included a €50 fine if they took an unauthorised rest.
