The Councillor for Employment, Lauren Salvatierra (PSOE), is proposing a new Employment Plan aimed at encouraging the hiring of employees and the creation of new businesses.
First, there will be financial assistance for people setting up new businesses in the old town in tourism, commerce and agriculture among others. A points system will see financing on a sliding scale from €100 to €2,500.
The second proposal involves incentives for companies hiring staff. Hiring someone on a full-time permanent contract for two years or converting a temporary contract to permanent would be entitled to an incentive of €1,000. A part-time contract would attract an incentive of €500.
In the case of hiring on a temporary basis, incentives are between €300 and €600 for taking on people officially registered as unemployed with the SAE. Those taken on under contract must be part of the Andalucía Orienta programme and have either completed professional vocational training courses for employment or be from from a Workshop School, Employment Workshop or Craft Centre.
