A total of nineteen people were injured to varying degrees on Sunday morning following a fire in a building on calle San Cristóbal in La Algaba, Sevilla. Two of the injured suffered severe burns.
The fire occurred at 11:15 on Sunday morning and resulted in the building being sealed until a full inspection can take place.
A 12 year old has first and second degree burns and a 35 year old man suffered burns to 75% of his body and is now on a ventilator in the Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Sevilla.
Most of the injured, including a police officer, suffered from smoke inhalation and required treatment either at the scene or in hospital.
