The Centro Comercial Abierto de Nerja (Nerja Open Commercial Centre) has finally received its diploma accrediting it as a Centro Comercial Abierto de Andalucía (Andalucia Open Commercial Centre), considered significant because there only twenty such accreditations in the whole of the region.
The award was actually finalised in 2011 but it has taken until now for the diploma to be presented, so no change there then.
The official presentation was attended by the Councillor for Commerce, Nieves Atencia, the Director General of Trade, Doña María del Carmen Cantero González, the President of the Provincial Federation of Commerce, Enrique Gil Fernández, and the President of Nerja Centro, Enrique López Cuenca.
