Maritime Rescue intercepted three boats on Monday in the Strait of Gibraltar with a total of 27 people trying to make their way to mainland Spain.
Two small dinghies carrying 17 male sub-Saharans were intercepted and then, following a tip-off from the Moroccan authorities, a third craft with eight male and 2 female sub-Saharans on board was located about 10.5 miles from Tarifa, Cádiz province.
All passengers were in apparent good health and were taken to the port of Tarifa for processing.
