Notices have been put up in the Cruz de Humilladero district of Málaga reminding residents that anti-social behaviour such as playing ball games in certain squares carries a fine of €750. The measure was taken after complaints from local residents and traders about the incessant bombardment of their premises.
The posters have been put up in La Unión and Camino de San Rafael areas and, according to the Mayor, are not designed to punish but are to discourage antisocial behaviour.
The municipal ordinance states that it is especially forbidden to practice games in public spaces that could endanger the physical safety of other users or cause damage to goods, services and facilities, and, in particular, bans the performing of acrobatics and skill games involving bikes, skates or skateboards.
Cruz de Humilladero is the first district where such posters have been put up. The fines levied for such activities generally fall upon the parents of those involved.
