The Labour Inspectorate is investigating an accident on Monday in Villarrasa in which a 22 year old worked died as a result of being electrocuted.
The deceased was working on the interior of an old building in the centre of town with his father and another mason when the incident occurred. It is thought that the poor condition of cables in the building were to blame for the accident.
The building is owned by the deceased’s uncle and the Inspectorate are trying to determine whether there was any contractual element to the work being carried out.
