This year’s poster for the May festivities in Córdoba, designed by María José Ruiz, is apparently causing controversy on the streets of the city.
Breaking with the tradition of a poster depicting a female flamenco artist, María José Ruiz has chosen a handsome male model, a local personal trainer, dressed in hat, white shirt and tight jeans. He is holding a wineskin and two carnations in one hand and touching his hat with the other.
The backdrop is a Roman column and an alley.
